Basic Job Function Role is responsible for researching, analyzing and clearly understanding records/data collection and customer data processes/data flow and needs. Interacts regularly with customers (both internal and/or external) to help translate business needs into business requirements. Responsible for providing business knowledge to identify, recommend and implement business/data solutions to meet client needs and department/business objectives.

Accountabilities

  1. Acts as a primary point of contact for internal/external customer inquiries/requests, responsible for clarifying and clearly understanding client/business objectives, strategies and needs.

  2. Researches/gathers and refines business requirements, performs business intelligence assessments/analysis and cost benefit analysis; communicates findings/trends/relevant information effectively and proposes options/solutions; coordinates internal resources as needed and communicates progress/results.

  3. Responsible for facilitating clear understanding of all customer/business processes and procedures, goals/objectives and drivers in order to effectively define business solutions.

  4. Develops relationships with customers and other relevant parties to facilitate the flow of records and other important processes, procedures and other relevant business/customer needs.

  5. Contributes and/or project leads the development and/or coordination of data solutions project plans/business cases involving Product/Project Definition, Plan & Feasibility & Approach, Cost and Budget Analysis, etc.

  6. Ensures overall project plan effectiveness and timely issue resolution; addresses any significant fluctuations in project initiative regularly.

  7. Consults with and collaborates with various departments, management, staff, vendors and internal/external customers to review and assess work/data flow processes and areas of opportunity; provide record/business intelligence and statistical/financial information/reports to support business and data solutions.

  8. Proactively maintains and enhances customer web portal and builds knowledge and understanding of records data collection and industry specific data as defined by business needs.

  9. Responsible for the development and distribution of internal and external customer reports and support documentation as needed.

  10. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related degree; or equivalent related work experience.

  2. Requires 3-5 years strong research and business intelligence experience gathering/business analysis skills, knowledge and understanding of records/data collection, procedures and terminology.

  3. Requires strong self motivation, business acumen, customer service, consulting and interpersonal/ relationship development skills.

    1. Requires solid knowledge and understanding of project planning/project leadership; requires strong organizational skills including effectively handling multiple assignments and leading multiple projects/initiatives simultaneously and prioritizing work effectively.
  4. Requires ability to function within ambiguity and help bring clarity and/or resolution to complex situations and issues.

  5. Requires experience effectively identifying, researching, and coordinating the resources necessary to troubleshoot/diagnose client and business issues; possesses ability to probe, research and gain knowledge and understanding of internal and external business and data flow processes.

  6. Requires strong decision making skills including knowledge and experience with data flow process/procedures; must be able to research data fields and related data flow information and draw valid conclusions.

  7. Requires strong knowledge and understanding of syndicated research databases, the internet, and Microsoft applications including Excel, Access and SQL queries; knowledge and understanding of encryption, transmission of data, and file format (Data Formats: ASCII Comma Delimited Text, Excel, Access, HTML, XML).

  8. Requires exceptional oral and written communication skills, including articulating ideas and information; possesses ability to collaborate effectively with personnel at all levels including various levels of management, staff, vendors, and clients.
