This newly created career opportunity will support the creation of new Legal Analytics subscription modules, the feature roadmap for existing Legal Analytics subscription modules, and the delivery of custom Legal Analytics reports.With your expertise in data science you will constructively contribute to the commercial success and operational efficiency of this line of products and services.
You will be responsible for:
analysing data sets to identify and mitigate risks, and prepare data sets for new modules or reports;
driving operational efficiency and speed to market;
contributing to the Legal Analytics roadmap by gathering and implementing customer feedback;
monitoring technology trends, and experiment to uncover new insights;
undertaking UAT on content and product features for all new modules and reports;
developing and improving strategies for content issues such as entity recognition and normalisation;
advocating and executing data enrichment and clean up projects.
You will have the opportunity to collaborate broadly on a global scale and interact with: ourproduct managers, data architects and content engineers, software engineers, subject matter experts, UX designers, customers and internal business stakeholders.
Key requirements for the role include:
relevant tertiary qualifications, such as aBachelor of Law/ Bachelor of IT combined degree or equivalent combination;
experience with data analytic technologies (proprietary and open source);
understanding of the legal market and legal content;
ability to operateindependently within a ‘start up’ virtual team;
level of creativity and problem-solving skills, in particular with regards to identifying ways to meet customer needs with existing data sets and/or by efficiently ingesting new data sets;
strong relationship-building skills.
Previous experience in legal information and publishing environment will be highly regarded.
