Reporting to the Executive Director Strategy, Pricing, & Analytics and in collaboration with the Strategy, Pricing and Analytics team, you will help drive the business strategy to achieve LexisNexis’ revenue and profitability goals and to maintain and enhance its industry leading position.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Development and implementation of sophisticated analytical models

  • Development of commercially relevant data-driven insights to support achievement of revenue goals by Commercial and Product leaders

  • Support Strategy, Pricing, and Analytics team by undertaking analysis of market, customer behaviors, and new opportunity assessments

  • Use analytical problem-solving approaches that deliver insights and inform recommendations

  • Construct analysis that build arguments to support or negate project hypotheses

  • Discover trends, patterns and stories told by the data, structured and unstructured, and present them to stakeholders

It’s not a typical analyst role! As well as getting a chance to hone your data and modelling skills on a daily basis, you will be building your consulting skills; commercial acumen, collaborating on projects from initial scoping through to delivery of recommendations, communicating complex insights in simple ways, with exposure to a variety of business units and leadership teams.

To be successful, we are looking for people with:

  • Tertiary in Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Maths, Chemistry, or other quantitative discipline

  • Analytical (quantitative and qualitative) and structured problem-solving skills, including multivariate regression, decision trees, clustering, factor analysis.

  • Time management skills, working across several projects concurrently

  • Strategic thinking to see the “big picture” and operational details

  • Creative thinking – consistently producing innovative ideas, analyses and recommendations

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, SQL and Tableau skills are essential, with a great sense for how to present data in visual and inspiring ways

  • Experience with OBIEE will be highly regarded

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, written and oral
