We’re applying AI and machine learning concepts across natural language processing, chatbots, Robotic process automation and digital service management to enhance customer experience, grow revenues and gain operational efficiencies.

Towards this goal, we are interested in hiring an Intelligent automation delivery leader in the “CAPE – Center for automation and process excellence” organization, who has in-depth experience in related technologies, defining innovative solutions, delivering programs and building shared services. Ideal candidate would have handled a similar role for 3+ years and delivered demonstrable outcomes at enterprise level.

Job Function:

The role of Intelligent automation – delivery lead is responsible for leading the definition, design, architecture and delivery of Intelligent automation solutions and capabilities. Activities include partnering with technology and business teams to evangelize automation, understand the business needs, selecting the right technologies, providing digital process automation solutions and leading the execution to successful delivery of business outcomes.

The intelligent automation space covers solutions that integrate business process automation, robotic process automation and cognitive automation leveraging best of breed technologies. The role involves active engagement across enterprise architecture, CIO teams and other partners across Global Information Security, Risk and Infrastructure teams. As a senior member of the CAPE team, you will design systems to tackle tough problems in the legal and business information services domain.

You will be working in LexisNexis Operations with a varied group and cross-functional team of content domain experts, IT and product colleagues to pilot and develop new methods of processing, extracting and surfacing information relevant to our customers.

The role requires creative thinking and problem solving skills. The candidate is expected to take initiative and drive innovation. Therefore, we are looking for a self-starter, who can take ownership and establish delivery roadmaps for complex projects.

This role will help establish a federated automation delivery model across globally distributed units. Ideal candidate for this role will conceive and build the organization, that will scale organic and inorganic models of solution delivery. Must be adept at working with offshore delivery model.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define, design, and execute automation solutions aligned to the strategy established by the CAPE organization using process excellence, Robotic Process Automation, BPM and AI solutions.

  2. Build a qualified team of process designers, automation technologists and architects with experience in different automation platforms

  3. Provide design and architecture leadership to project teams so as to deliver enterprise scale solutions leveraging best in class AI, Automation and integration capabilities.

  4. Lead innovation by conceiving foundational capabilities that will help reduce cost and speed to market for automation solutions.

  5. Lead the solutions strategy resulting finally into a viable product and value demonstration.

  6. Partner with CTO organization to build IT solutions and business partners to ideate and conceive solutions.

  7. Drive intelligent automation enablement workshops for business partners to ensure adoption of platform standards and best practices across the enterprise

  8. Manage project risk, reporting, governance and escalations in a proactive manner

  9. Manage project financials and ensure projects are delivered as per scope, budget, schedule, quality and benefits.

  10. Assist with business case preparation to justify investments (where required) to implement solutions (e.g., estimate costs to implement and resulting benefits).

  11. Identify creative ways to optimize TCO and speed to market for solutions delivery.

  12. Communicate to senior stakeholders on progress, issues and results

  13. Directly lead, motivate and coach Intelligent Automation project teams in order to meet the needs and requirements of the client.

  14. Must have proven experience of delivering projects in agile methodology

  15. Be aware of current and future market and technology developments inside and outside of the Intelligent Automation space through offerings, white papers, blogs, upskilling and learning opportunities.

Desired Skills and Experience:

a. BS, MS ( Technology related fields) + MBA preferred

b. 15+ years of progressive experience in software architecture, design, and engineering roles

c. Master level in architectural design, including application architecture/microservices. Strong knowledge of architectural design patterns

d. Experience deploying software solutions to a cloud framework (e.g. Azure, AWS, Google)

e. Ability to understand and operate broadly across the entire technology landscape

f. Strong experience in implementing manageable, high-performing horizontal scale systems, including instrumentation, performance tuning, and application performance monitoring

g. Understanding of automation and emerging technology solutions including BPM, Robotics Process Automation, Cognitive automation and Data / process integration.

h. Demonstrable experience in professional and technical capabilities such as: Automation (BPM, RPA, Machine Learning, and Artificial Intelligence), Operational Excellence approaches and methods (Lean agile delivery, DevOps, Lean thinking, Process excellence, System & Management Thinking).

i. Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in implementing:

i. BPM platforms like Pegasystems and Appian

ii. RPA / Cognitive automation platforms like UiPath, Blueprism, and Workfusion ( or other similar industry leading technologies)

iii. Complex operational, regulatory or customer service automation initiatives across 100’s of users

j. Significant experience in deploying best practices for Process Excellence, RPA and Automation within a mid - large organization.

k. Good knowledge of automation spanning across structured and unstructured data by leveraging machine learning concepts.

l. Good understanding of Content automation / OCR technologies and the interplay between process and content automation frameworks.

m. Other soft skills:

iii. Strong ability to influence and lead diverse groups to achieve desired results

iv. Ability to work independently – set and manage plans, achieve results

v. Highly organized and able to effectively multi-task and plan/manage deliverables
