ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Interface with other business and technical team members to finalize requirements.

• Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.

• Work closely with other development team members to understand moderately complex product requirements and translate them into software designs.

• Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews.

• Operate in various development technology environments and collaborating with key stakeholders.

• Keep abreast of new technology developments.

• Working multiple offshore teams and onshore teams

• Handle Formal task handoffs between onsite and offshore teams, build relationships with offshore teams

• Coaching offshore team members with agile processes

• Maintain frequent and accurate status reports with various teams on the sprint tasks

• Experience with standard projects (i.e. releases, distribution, maintenance) and some experience with on-offs/unique project initiatives

• Needs to communicate with the Program Management team (PMO)

• Provide estimates from Dev/QA teams to Program Management

• Ability to handle and manage project changes

REQUIREMENTS

Qualifications:

4+ years of Software Engineering experience

BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

Skills – Technical and Soft skills:

• Technical background (QA or Development), strong SLDC process knowledge

• Familiarity of industry best practices, code coverage, unit tests, QA automation.

• Proficiency in one of the following software development languages is a plus: C#/.NET, Java/J2EE, C/C++, JavaScript, Clarion

• Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources.

• Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.

• Knowledge of software development methodologies – Agile – Scrum, Kanban

• Experience and knowledge of software lifecycle management

• Ability to write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.

• Ability to complete moderately complex bug fixes.

• Prior experience in a scrum master role is a plus, but not necessarily with a pure non-technical scrum-master background.

• Needs to have very good communication skills – to help facilitate the synergy between offshore Development/QA and the onshore teams, and to the business/product owners as well
