As the Product Marketing Manager, you are the evangelist for the portfolio. You are responsible for developing deep market and customer driven understanding of the industry, competitors, buyers, the buying process and users; as well as creating the positioning and value proposition for a given product line or multiple products within a market sub-segment. This highly visible position reports into Product Management and works closely with cross functional area leaders including Marketing, Sales and Professional Services to support the Go to Market plan within the portfolio.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to step into a dynamic product marketing role to drive innovation and growth in the practice management software space. This position calls for an energetic, strategic, talented, detail-oriented, tactical and innovative individual with excellent research, communication and positioning skills.

  • Champion for market and user insights while delivering value proposition and messaging

  • Create persuasive messaging and assets including product positioning, buyer personas, purchase pathways and value propositions

  • Monitor relevant marketplace and competitive products, determine appropriate competitive positioning/differentiation, and deliver market-facing launch and ongoing product assets

  • Conduct internal and external market, customer and user analysis and reporting

  • Conduct win-loss research and drive cross-functional win-loss program

  • Create Go to Market plans in partnership with Sales and Marketing for product line and/or segment

  • Be the organization expert of market driven buyers and purchase processes

  • Create and maintain sales enablement tools, e.g. competitive battle cards, FAQs

  • Build relationships with key customers and influencers

Skills and Experience

  • 5 to 7 years of product marketing in a commercial business to business software organization

  • Ability to think strategically

  • Proven expertise in generating market insights through qualitative and quantitative methodologies

  • Experience creating messaging and positioning for technology products including software, hardware and/or professional services

  • Proven ability to create and deliver high-quality product marketing assets

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate how product line / segment delivers customer and shareholder value

  • Ability to independently collect insights from users and the market to deliver Pragmatic Marketing tools and assets

  • Willingness to work closely with buyers, users and industry influencers

  • Experienced in effective execution within a matrix environment

  • BA/BS degree required, MBA or equivalent experience preferred

  • Past Product Management or Product Owner experience is preferred

  • Pragmatic Marketing certification or equivalent preferred

  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of time
