As part of a small-and-nimble team devoted to LexisNexis’ corporate website and social media, the Web Analytics Specialist will focus on optimizing site structure/content and social media content to help achieve core goals – drive more traffic, generate more and higher-quality leads, increase clients’ product usage, and make it easier for clients and prospects to engage with us and find the information they need.
The person in this role will work closely with the Corporate Site Manager and Social Media Manager to collect and analyze usage data, develop and execute A/B and multivariate tests, and provide results and actionable insights to business leaders.
Collaborate with Website Manager, Social Media Manager and other stakeholders to develop clear and measurable analytics and testing objectives, including defined performance benchmarks
Help identify and recommend actions that can significantly improve performance on the corporate site and via social media, with a focus on the core goals outlines above
Investigate site and social usage data across various platforms to uncover areas that will lead to the most impactful improvements in performance
Develop and help implement A/B and multivariate tests for desktop and mobile environments and clearly validate test results, focusing on areas that will have the most positive impact on performance
Provide objective, concise, clear, persuasive, and accurate reports to stakeholders on actions that show the most potential to positively impact site and social media goals, so that decisions can be made quickly to improve performance
Help create an overall culture of data-driven decision-making and innovative thinking
Establish strong working partnerships with stakeholders across the company in order to help expand and entrench the team vision of a content-focused corporate site and social media presence, data-driven decisions, nimble and fast development, and how those concepts lead to stronger performance and help the company achieve its overall business goals
A bachelor’s degree in statistics, math, computer science, or a similar field of study, or equivalent experience
3-5 years of experience in a similar role
Proven understanding of website and social media metrics, along with related statistical concepts
Strong experience with A/B and multivariate testing processes and tools (e.g., Optimizely) with a distinct focus on site and social media optimization
Strong experience with web analytics processes and tools (especially Google Analytics)
Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to understand and interpret usage and test data, solve data problems, and distill data into actionable and insightful recommendations
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to share complex data and results with a diverse group of stakeholders in a concise way that allows for fast and nimble design, development, and timing decisions
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team to build and implement tests, investigate usage data, and develop accurate conclusions from appropriate data results
Intellectual and analytical curiosity, including the initiative to dig proactively into the “why” of various results or data anomalies without losing sight of the ultimate objective
Flexible and responsive, able to prioritize multiple projects, can reprioritize as needed, and works with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
