Legal Analyst LPA
Location: New York, New York, United States
This position will contribute to the development and maintenance of LPA products. Review, edit and QA practical guidance content, participate in the development of new content as appropriate, cultivate additional content for product including treatises, cases, codes, legal articles and external content at direction of manager. Oversee and execute LPA content remediation projects.
Key Roles and Accountabilities:
Perform legal research and editorial tasks associated with publishing new content for new modules.
Draft or revise summaries for relevant content, including forms, treatise sections and cases.
Map to relevant treatise sections, case and codes for inclusion within LPA.
Oversee LPA content and product remediation projects focused on improving the customer experience.
Participate in QA and content maintenance process of every LPA content type.
Acquire a firm understanding of editorial processes/style guidelines and enforce best practices across LPA.
Improve operational effectiveness by standardizing and streamlining processes, creating documentation and making recommendations for continuous improvement in editorial workflow.
Add, edit and remove content in Echo/GUIB as needed.
Meet or exceed production and quality requirements.
Participate in training as required and perform additional tasks as assigned.
Juris Doctor, and/or relevant editorial experience
0-2 years of experience in legal analysis preferred
Practice experience (as a paralegal or associate) in any of the following Practice Areas: Estate Planning, Labor & Employment, Real Estate, Capital Markets/Securities, Commercial Transactions and Corporate and M&A is highly preferred
Writing, editorial and digital publishing experience is highly preferred
Knowledge of or experience with XML mark-up is preferred
Knowledge of or experience with document automation software is preferred
Effective reading comprehension skills
Strong analytical, legal research and writing skills
Knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style and Bluebook citation rules
Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines
Flexibility necessary to adapt to changing business demands
Demonstrated knowledge of LexisNexis products, including Lexis Advance
