Law360 is seeking a features reporter for its award-winning In-Depth team. This reporter will contribute longform narrative pieces, in-depth data features and investigative stories for special reports focused primarily on the business of law, life as a corporate lawyer, and the U.S. court system.
This reporter will be expected to develop a deep understanding of the legal industry and must have prior feature reporting experience. Experience with longform narrative strongly preferred. Familiarity with data reporting and experience using multimedia and other visual storytelling tools a plus.
This position is located in New York City.
At least five years of full-time, paid reporting experience
Demonstrated reporting and writing skills, including three feature clips
Experience reporting for a legal audience
Experience writing longform narrative stories
Experience incorporating data into stories
Experience illustrating stories through multimedia
Qualified candidates will be asked to complete writing and reporting tests electronically and submit three feature clips.
Law360 offers extensive training on legal topics. Business or legal reporting experience is not required. However, professional reporting experience and strong writing and analytical skills are required to succeed in this job.
