The Sr. Manager FP&A will look after the overall financial planning and analysis for the LN India business. This person will look after the overall budgeting and RFs process for India. This role will also be doing all the LN India reporting (weekly, monthly). This role will provide business the intelligence with data for making correct business related decisions. If this role does not exist the burden of all this work will fall upon the Director Finance severely restricting the FD in doing his business support role.

Budgeting & Forecasting

· Responsible for reporting & analysis, forecasting and budgeting for Lexis Nexis India

· On time and accurate reporting

· Leading the budgeting and RF process for India; gathering, compiling, summarizing and presenting the data and information


· Responsible for timely month end reporting as well as weekly reporting

· Also work on the various ad-hoc reporting requirements

Analyzing financial performance

· Liaise and work closely with country MD and FD and key stake holders on analyzing financial performances.

· Prepare reports for tracking the performance and keep track of the key performance indicators

Leading/ Supporting local/regional projects

· Assume an active role in initiating and driving process improvements to enhance reporting/planning efficiency and performance; Ad hoc projects

M&A and other commercial activities

· Get involved in financial modelling for various M&A activities that will come up time to time

A. Qualifications/Experience/Knowledge

List the minimum and desired knowledge, education, skills and experience.




· Qualified Accountant/ CPA/ CFA; MBA (Finance) from a reputed institution


· 6-8 years’ post qualification experience

· Proven commercial track record

· Experience in implementing and maintaining financial and business risk controls

· Working experience in a multinational corporation (MNC) is highly desirable

· Experience with Hyperion or other planning systems preferred


· Strong finance skills in financial analysis, planning and reporting

· Strong communication and organizational skills

· Strong commercial/business acumen

· Highly motivated

· Ability to multi-task

· Technical/Professional knowledge and skills

· Adaptable and a Team player

· Able to Work under pressure and Meet deadlines
