Associate Business Analyst


Location: Duluth, Georgia, United States

Responsible for researching, analyzing and understanding public records/data collection, customer data processes/data flow and customer/business needs and related initiatives. Uses new and existing business intelligence tools, internal databases and other relevant tools/sources to prepare custom reports.


  • Develops relationships with courts, customers and other relevant parties to facilitate the flow of public records and other important processes, procedures and other relevant business/customer needs.

  • Assists department and other staff with internal/external customer inquiries/requests; assists with gathering and refining business requirements and/or providing input for business solutions.

  • Interacts and collaborates with internal and external customers to help clarify client/business objectives, strategies and needs.

  • Works closely with various departments, management, staff, vendors, and internal/external customers to provide customer/court intelligence and statistical/financial information necessary to support the data acquisition function and facilitate sound decision-making.

  • Acts as business knowledge resource on special projects and provides analyses of work/data flow processes and areas of opportunity to support business and data solutions.

  • Responsible for the development and distribution of internal and external customer reports and support documentation as needed.

  • Assists with the maintenance and enhancements of customer web portal and builds knowledge and understanding of public records data collection, credit bureau, court procedures and terminology as defined by business needs.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or related degree; or equivalent related work experience.

  • 1+ years related experience

  • Requires knowledge and understanding of public and syndicated research databases, the internet, and Microsoft applications including Excel, Access and SQL queries

  • Strong knowledge of SQL for reporting purposes is required.

  • Previous use of Crystal Reporting is highly preferred

  • Knowledge and understanding of encryption, transmission of data, and file format (Data Formats: ASCII Comma Delimited Text, Excel, Access, HTML, XML).

  • Requires ability to collaborate and communicate orally and in writing effectively with personnel at all levels including various levels of management, staff, vendors, and clients.

  • Requires solid organizational skills involving prioritizing work effectively.

  • Possesses effective problem solving skills, research skills and business intelligence gathering/business analysis skills involving assessing data and drawing logical and valid conclusions.

  • Basic knowledge of public records/data collection, credit bureau, court procedures and terminology are strongly preferred.

  • Solid skills in the following areas: self motivation, initiative, business acumen, customer service, and interpersonal/ relationship development.

  • Requires the ability to function within ambiguity and help bring clarity and/or resolution to situations and issues; requires the ability to understand internal and external business and data flow processes.
