In this role, you will drive new business revenue and POS through the sale of LexisNexis products, services, and content within assigned accounts or territory as you:
Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales goals
Develop detailed strategic sales plans demonstrating how to grow business within assigned accounts or territory
Identify and qualify opportunities; develop a pipeline of viable opportunities and effectively manage the pipeline with the account team, including timely follow up of all leads and advancing leads through selling process to close
Provide accurate forecasts; customer, competitive and market intelligence to management, business leadership, and the account team
Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of LexisNexis products, content, and solutions including the ability to articulate competitive differentiators and our value proposition
Identify and communicate effectively with key contacts within a customer's organization
Collaborate with other LexisNexis sales team members to secure new business; provide input in conjunction with account team on development of marketing plans and programs to maximize goals
This position is office based in Dayton, Ohio.

Qualification of the successful candidate include:
A Bachelor's degree, preferably in business or a related field (experience may be substituted for education)
1-3 years proven experience generating new business sales, preferably in a business to business environment
Experience with successful heavy prospecting activities, including high volume cold-calling, social-media prospecting, etc
Strong understanding and use of Strategic Selling techniques and CRM systems
Self-driven, motivated, and results oriented with new business sales or "hunter" mentality
Proven success in new business prospecting, selling, negotiating, and closing skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative and team oriented environment
