Tele Customer Success Mgr BIS


Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States

This position is responsible for providing dedicated customer post-sale support on business information solutions that drive adoption, retention, build preference and attitude (brand) loyalty.


  1. Provides post-sales support to customers on a defined set of business information solutions.

  2. Responsible for product training and specific application to customers industry, department, and role needs.

  3. Responsible for driving adoption and utilization within assigned accounts and assigned geographic territory.

  4. Consultative onboarding and solution use optimization, aligned to customer use cases, persona profile and defined success metrics.

  5. Conduct a variety of activities in support of assigned accounts including, but not limited to, customer training and presentations, dormant user campaigns, introduction of new products and content, lead generation and meeting follow up.

  6. Develop and maintain relationships with corporate decision makers and influencers within assigned accounts to enable better utilization of LexisNexis products and services by the customer as well as improved positioning of LexisNexis within the account from both a retention and expansion perspective.

  7. Generate and track qualified leads provided to Relationship Managers in base business accounts and Business Development Managers in prospective accounts.

  8. Utilize all required processes, tools and systems including TAOP and Siebel.

  9. Serving as a liaison for our customers on product/segment team meetings and user panels.

  10. Conduct monthly product webinars on BIS products hosted by the marketing group and available to all customers.


  1. Bachelors degree or equivalent experience.

  2. 3-5 years of experience in a business environment. Consulting, sales, information industry or technology industry experience is a plus.

  3. Demonstrated ability of consultative approach to uncover customers needs and problem resolution. Ability to investigate for greater and more accurate understanding of the situation to better address problems or opportunities.

  4. In depth industry knowledge and the ability to quickly develop an in depth understanding of LN products and services.

  5. Experience working in a team in a highly complex matrixed corporate environment.

  6. Strong oral and written communication skills as well as presentation skills.

  7. Strong time management and organizational skills.

  8. Deep understanding of Strategic Selling (TAOP, Miller Heiman, etc.), Value selling, Team Selling, and CRM systems (Siebel is preferred)

  9. Understanding and expertise in computer hardware and software including Windows XP, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and the Internet

  10. May require local or overnight business travel (less than 10%).

  11. Ability to lift or carry laptop and collateral sales materials of approximately 25 pounds
