Sr. Reporting Analyst
Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States
LexisNexis is seeking aSr. Reporting Analyst/ Business Analyst to provide reporting and analytical support for the BIS business unit, predominantly for the sales team. This includes the analysis of revenue, market data, customer information and proactive partnering with business unit leaders across sales, segment planning, product and strategy. This position plays a vital role in organization by creating synergies across the organization through consistency and quality data reporting. Experience building reports within Tableau and/or BI/OBIEE is strongly preferred.
In this role you will also...
Analyse critical business metrics in order to measure performance, aid in important business decisions and identify areas of growth and those that need improvement.
Deal with complex issues requiring overall understanding of the business and its functions.
Partner directly with business colleagues and sales leaders to develop and deliver key reporting and analytical support initiatives to the sales organization. Highlight key findings and offer valuable insights.
Conduct data analysis and identify critical business trends, issues and opportunities
Partner with BIS management to identify report anomalies. Engage in basic research from multiple sources for the purpose of identifying cause and effect relationships.
Identify and maintain a set of standard reports needed to assess the progress of the business.
Monitor and track key performance drivers.
Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis as requested
Interact with headquarters departments on a daily basis including Sales Commissions, Finance, Fulfillment/Billing, Marketing, segment planning, product and Pricing.
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience, MBA preferred
2-4 years experience in data management and report creation in a corporate environment supporting multiple internal and/or external customers; experience with sales organization preferred
Strong analytical skills; ability to translate report results into actionable business items
Experience with Tableau and / or OBIEE required
Proficient computer skills with Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint; understanding of Teradata / SQL
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to demonstrate initiative, leadership and delivery of results.
Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly
Proficient knowledge of the LN business, products and sales messaging
