TheSales Internwill work with the LexisNexis sales team on basic sales functions to interact and engage with customers and prospects. He/she will be responsible for contributing to the identification, growth, and maintenance of current and potential prospects and campaign lead generation activities. The intern will be tasked with using internal and external information sources to research and identify prospective organizations and contacts, while maintaining client databases (CRM) to ensure highest quality, accuracy, and completeness of data available for marketing and sales efforts.

Through this internship, the intern will hone his/her written and verbal communication skills with customers and prospects. He/she will also develop a deeper understanding of LexisNexis’s core values, our sales organization, and our various customers segments. The intern will receive one-on-one/hands on guidance, product training, and have the opportunity to observe and job shadow other Sales Development Representatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with sales teams on campaigns consisting of warm or cold calls to schedule qualified demonstrations/appointments and build pipeline for Sales Reps.

  • Research and produce real business opportunities in accordance with approved sales management guidelines.

  • Learn, understand, and apply the value proposition of LexisNexis solutions and products and our world-class business processes.

  • Update client and prospect information in our CRM systems

  • Clean prospecting data lists to create sales and marketing campaigns

  • Pull and analyze sales performance metrics; Pull customer account details

  • Identify and organize account details for remaining customer migrations

Qualifications:

  • Junior/Senior

  • Pursuing a degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Communications, or related field

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, listening)

  • Good interpersonal skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Project management skills

  • Time management skills

  • Ability to handle customer facing conversations
