Global Content Planner


Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States

The primary purpose of this role is to deliver a market-leading content sets that support news and business, and drives revenue growth, retention rates and customer satisfaction.


  1. Translate overall BIS strategic objectives and concepts into a content vision and roadmap, translating the customer needs and business opportunities into real, executable, content requirements

  2. Translate and own inputs from the virtual team as well as with direct feedback from the sales reps and other stakeholders to create a compelling roadmap and defined scope.

  3. Use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions to problems or opportunities related to objectives, including data analyses and business case development.

  4. Provide all necessary sizing, projections or risk assessments to support business development activities.

  5. Implement roadmap execution and scope delivery, in relationship with internal or external technical teams, project managers, operational and support functions.

  6. Ensure scope, deadlines and budgets are met, and manage change control.

  7. Update the virtual team on project status, identify roadblocks, risks and opportunities, and decide tactical moves.

  8. Own the release management cycle and top-down content communication.

  9. Direct Delivery of Content through licensing deals and partnerships

  10. Contribute content to a pipeline that provides the business with full visibility and progression on content development

  11. Manage publisher relationships to improve cost position and profitability, minimize risk and ensure content continuity and quality

  12. Act as a content authority within BIS and beyond by developing strong internal and external networks including customers, competitors and leaders in other organizations, to bring in relevant information to the business.

  13. Proactively participate in regular meetings with stakeholders, foster effective communications and cross-functional team work.

  14. Liaise with and educate colleagues (and distributors) through transferring subject matter expertise.

  1. 7-10 years’ experience in a similar position

  2. Degree education with MBA preferred

  3. Experience managing major company or industry relationships (Fortune 500 or similar)

  4. Either native speaker or fluent in English (written and spoken) Additional language a benefit

  5. Proven ability to partner with cross regional teams in a Global/Matrix organization, working across cultures and manage/ collaborate with remote teams
