DIRECTOR OF SEGMENT STRATEGY

Basic Job Function:
Support the Senior Director of Segment Management in identifying, developing, and executing on key strategic product and program opportunities that will drive preference, revenue and NPS in the law school and large law markets.
Develop independent work plans, perform data-driven analysis and take ownership for significant portions of strategy development. As a Director, you will seek to identify and realize new growth opportunities for LexisNexis.
Key Roles and Accountabilities:
As theDirector of Strategyyour key roles and responsibilities will include:
Develop work plans, perform data-driven analysis, and take ownership of strategy development
Identify new growth opportunities, including acquisition targets, and risks for the Large Law and Law School businesses. Gain competitive insights, with data collection from the sales team and review of competitor's strategy. Make recommendations on how we can win.
Project manage key business initiatives
Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on core strategic questions
Collaborate with marketing, sales, finance, and pricing to ensure business objectives are being met
Review and monitor product financial performance on a continuing basis, including risks/opportunities and work to adjust plans and priorities appropriately by balancing near/mid-terms business conditions with longer term priorities.
MBA preferred, with a minimum of 5 years of related technical and professional experience
Revenue driving experience either through pricing strategy/execution or sales preferred
Skills required include business acumen, strategic planning, creativity in problem solving, highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills, quantitative analytical
abilities, and outstanding communication skills (written/verbal).
Demonstrated strong project management experience
