Assistant Marketing Manager
Location: Dayton, Ohio, United States
Position to provide marketing execution support to drive awareness, leads and revenue for LexisNexis solutions within the Business Insight Solutions Research market. Assist in applying marketing mix concepts of brand positioning, brand architecture, and customer segmentation and to assist in development of marketing strategies to drive brand equity, revenue and profitability. Knowledge of and ability to apply basic marketing strategies to marketing tactics.
Assist Marketing Director on marketing strategy and plan development
Lead development and execution of marketing tactics with direction from Marketing Director
Measure and analyze marketing effectiveness versus objectives; taking action when needed to ensure goals are met.
Serve as marketing subject matter expert for assigned market segment, products, personas and industries
Responsible for creation of monthly department reports regarding marketing activity, results and other metrics
Clear communication of plans, campaigns and results to internal stakeholders, and persuading others to support or agree to idea
Provide direction and information to creative and operations resources for creative development, ensuring that the end result meets brand guidelines, has clear and compelling messaging and represents the unique selling points of the solution
Tracks expenses against yearly budget allocation, ensuring that costs are accounted for and that the budget is not exceeded.
Partner with Sales to provide sales support materials, communicate marketing campaigns and ensure alignment with Sales priorities.

1.. 1 Undergraduate degree in communications/marketing/business.
1-3 years minimum marketing/communications experience.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with the flexibility to write for different audiences.
Strong project management and presentation skills.
Knows or is experienced with procedures and marketing mix elements that drive inbound leads, brand awareness and lead conversion. In particular, digital marketing (web, PPC, SEO), social media (blogs, Twitter, LinkedIn), email, direct mail, events, tradeshows, webinars, content marketing and advertising.
Knows and applies basic marketing strategies (marketing programs) to achieve expected results.
Establishes courses of action for self and others to ensure that work is completed efficiently in light of obstacles or challenges that have arisen.
Conveys information and ideas in a clear, meaningful, and timely manner, providing information to ensure understanding; solicits input from the audience during the communication.
Highly motivated and driven to deliver on-time results.
