Supervises daily operations, staffing levels and workflow of an operations support team to ensure department goals and objectives are met. Collaborate with management to identify, develop and communicate department goals and objectives. Identifies efficiency and improvement opportunities and works with team leads to develop and implement procedure, process, operational, and other efficiency/improvement projects along with other special projects. Coaches, trains, and develops the staff. Ensures quality of data meets customer needs. Analyzes production numbers/metrics and costs and provides recommendations/solutions to management for improvements and opportunities such as increasing productivity and lowering operational costs.

Accountabilities:

  • Oversees team by prioritizing and coordinating department workflow and activities (as it relates to the procurement of police records which includes auditing, timeliness, goal setting and procedural processes and strategies).

  • Ensure operation/production goals are met and proper staff and work allocation levels are maintained.

  • Supervises all personnel issues within assigned departments including recruiting, hiring, developing, and guiding/coaching and performance management.

  • Provides leadership and works with the team to develop and deliver employee training curriculum, programs and initiatives.

  • Coordinates training delivery process ensuring training objectives are met.

  • Assists team with completing daily work as needed.

  • Quote loads for oversize/overdimensional permitted loads

  • Ability to work with customers and State Department of Transportation officials

  • Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • BS degree in 3-5 years’ experience or equivalent experience; at least 3 years supervisory experience

  • Detail oriented, able to prioritize work, adaptable, able to develop effective department and production/operational goals and processes, interpersonal skills

  • Must be able to prioritize work.

  • Must be extremely adaptable and be able to stay focused.

  • Ability to effectively supervise others. Occasional Lifting (15 pounds maximum) may be required.
