Software Test Engineer II - QA Focus

This is a position on the Bridger Quality Assurance Team. The candidate hired into this position will spend his/her time working on both software development and testing activities, based on the current priorities and needs of the team. The ideal candidate would have a good understanding of software development & QA processes, willingness and interest to learn new things, explore opportunities to enhance existing processes and methodologies, etc.

Bridger is a high profile regulatory compliance product within LN: a key product for our international market. Bridger performs screening of billions of customer accounts on a monthly basis; performance and stability are the key! The environment is very fast paced; the candidate must be a very fast learner and be able to quickly adapt to changes.


  • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required

  • 1+ years of Software Engineering experience


  • C# .NET MVC

  • xUnit

  • Web 2.0 Application Development

  • HTML/JavaScript/CSS

  • jQuery/Bootstrap

  • Entity Framework and/or Dapper

  • Basic SQL knowledge (MySQL & SQL Server)

  • Knowledge of Web Services Testing using tools like ReadyAPI would be a plus

  • Knowledge of building automation frameworks using Selenium WebDriver would be a plus

  • Knowledge of Load Runner/JMeter/Other Load Testing Tools would be a plus


  • Good knowledge of the MVC software architecture

  • Basic knowledge of the software development process

  • Basic knowledge of QA testing methodologies

  • Knowledge of process improvements

  • Good attention to detail

  • Good time management skills

  • Good oral and written communications skills

  • Ability to work well with internal and external technology resources

  • Must be a team player and work well within the current team of 35 developers

  • Resolve moderately complex technical issues as necessary

  • Successfully implement development processes, coding best practices, and code reviews

  • Perform research, design, and software development tasks within a specific business functional area or product line

  • Provide direct input to project plans, schedules, and methodology while developing cross-functional software products

  • Participate in process improvement and compliance initiatives to successfully and consistently deliver high-quality software products and services on time, on budget, and to specification

  • Participate in project reviews

  • Cooperate in the enhancement of the methodologies employed for test planning and execution, defect tracking, and metric and status reporting

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices

  • Maintain flexibility to react quickly to changes in priorities or circumstances to meet the needs of the business

  • Maintain framework for record retention in order to support internal and external IT audits

  • Work across teams to enhance quality functional testing by identifying and helping to implement initiatives that will improve capability and efficiency

  • Perform all other duties as required by the team
