Our technical writing team is looking for a new member interested in creating a variety of documentation for our financial and business services customers. Do you like tackling diverse projects for a diverse customer base? Do you take pride in providing excellent customer service and producing high-quality deliverables? Responsibilities:

Create accurate, thorough documentation in a fast-paced environment to support a variety of information deliverables: installation guides, help systems, Web services guides, technical white papers, and knowledgebase articles, to name a few. Manage multiple projects simultaneously. Work effectively both on your own and as part of a team. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Write and edit deliverables in Global English for non-technical and technical users.

  • Gather information from a variety of sources.

  • Learn complex, technical products and explain them in clear, concise language.

  • Create graphics, take screenshots, and prepare source files for publication.

  • Collaborate with internal groups to learn about and address customer needs and technical issues related to our products.

  • Apply corporate and legal guidelines and provide input on departmental procedures and best practices.

  • Administer Help systems and documentation distribution systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in English, technical writing, or related field combined with technical experience or training; or Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field combined with writing or communications experience; or equivalent full-time work experience with a minimum of seven years in a related position

  • 4-6 years experience

  • Technical writing and editing competencies, knowledge, and skills

  • Skilled at desktop publishing and help authoring systems and software relevant to area as well as relationships between the systems

  • Ability to complete publications adhering to corporate standards, explaining complex technical topics in ways appropriate to technical and non-technical users

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced knowledge of the principles of structuring information and the documentation and software development processes.

  • Ability to learn new software packages quickly, including advanced troubleshooting and problem solving skills

  • Ability to manage workflow and manage multiple concurrent projects with tight deadlines, with minimal supervision

  • Analytical thinking, Organizational awareness, Audience and content analysis, Conceptual thinking, Decision making

  • Expert interviewing and independent research skills

  • Preferred: Understanding of our products and customers business requirements and processes
