Sr Business Analyst, Salesforce


Location: Alpharetta, Georgia, United States

Basic Job Function

Leadership professional representing the business that provides expertise in the development and implementation of business plans, achievement of CRM objectives, and assessment of ongoing system improvements. Incumbent will be highly specialized individual contributors with responsibility for extending their CRM/Salesforce expertise into the organization.


  1. Account management:Interacts regularly with their internal customers to help translate business needs into technical solutions

  2. Requirements analysis & management; systems/process design:

  • Participates in defining business and user requirements and acts as a facilitator in defining complete technical requirements, ensuring that they are in line with Business Support strategies.

  • Engages those who can help search for opportunities to innovate and improve upon systems and processes, working with technical leaders to define system strategies and evolution plans and jointly recommending technical strategy and direction to management.

  • Helps to identify gaps in performance regarding systems, the processes related to those systems, and the organizations that use those systems.

  1. Business case development:Provides technical, architectural, and process input to the development of the CRM Strategy business cases as required for their functional area, focusing on integration with Business Support strategy.

  2. Rollout and implementation:

  • Provides input to the development of rollout and implementation plans as called upon, with the goal of ensuring that rollout and implementation plans are technically feasible and value-added.

  • Monitors the measures of success and participates in reviews.

  1. Project planning and coordination:
  • Reviews project status, risks and issues and assures appropriate resolution and communication within Business Support and with the business units as needed.

  • Develops or coordinates the development of project plans.

  • Helps establish a project framework, and monitors status across the development groups.

  • Process improvement:

  • Review and analyze current CRM environment, including UI, page layouts, workflows and integration points and recommend potential process improvements in the context of migration to Salesforce

  • Assess and analyze future state process improvements within Salesforce

  • Continue to analyze, detail, and proposed continuous process improvement post project implementation as business as usual activity

  • Manage current state or future process improvement activities, as assigned.


  • Position requires a bachelor’s degree; MBA preferred

  • Requires exceptionalbusinessanalysis skills and consultative skills,with 5+ years’ experience preferred.

  • Requires highly developed skills intechnicalanalysis, with 5+ years’ experience preferred.

  • Requires 5+ years’ experience in systems assessment, design and improvement

  • 2+ years or major project experience migrating existing CRM systems to Salesforce in a large, matrixed organization. Siebel experience a plus.

  • Process design/redesign background, with 2+ years’ experience.

  • Project management/analyst experience, with 2+ years’ experience preferred.

  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills,withability to communicate effectively with individual contributor and operational delivery personnel up through project and business senior leadership.

  • Ability to build consensus among groups with competing interests, negotiations experience preferred.

  • Ability to function within ambiguity and help bring clarity to a situation across project and user groups.

  • Experience required in at least one of the following areas: business systems development, training design and development, process design, operational management, information management, or data quality management
