The Real Estate and Mortgage vertical is currently one of the highest growth segments of our business. LexisNexis Risk Solutions provides industry-leading products to these customers to help them market to prospects, reduce friction in the onboarding process, evaluate the credit risk of borrowers, protect against fraud, and comply with financial crime regulations. The Director of Strategy / Market Planning is highly market driven and works across the organization leveraging the skills and knowledge of product, pricing, marketing, sales, finance, operations and technology to address market/client needs identified and prioritized into the Mortgage vertical strategy.

Accountabilities

  • Direct the development of, and participate in reviewing and approving the short and long range operating objectives and plans to achieve maximum revenue growth in support of the corporate strategy.

  • Develop an appropriate product portfolio mix and appropriate positioning to achieve revenue targets. Develop recommendations for new product concepts and existing product modifications in line with the market area strategy and overall corporate strategy.

  • Develop and maintain a view of the capability gaps facing the organization and create a mitigation plan including a target list of content and M&A candidates and the requisite strategic acquisition rationale for each candidate.

  • Direct the analysis for specific near term market opportunities of major importance and the development of business cases, pricing, negotiation and contract strategies to capture the market opportunity.

  • Review and evaluate the market area performance on a continuing basis and establish the proper measures of performance; provide direction for modification in work plans or implementation of contingency plans in accordance with prevailing business conditions.

  • Lead and work within cross functional teams (finance, product development, marketing, and sales) to execute go to market strategies.

  • Develop and recommend sales channel strategy utilizing market research and data.

  • Support relationships with key accounts, industry and trade associations, government representatives, public service organizations, customers and vendors as necessary in the overall management of the market area.

  • Establish and maintain appropriate communications within and between various functional areas within the market area of responsibility.

  • Initiate and develop pricing strategies and policies; recommend pricing actions and promotional programs in support of market area strategy and revenue plan.

Qualifications

  • Requires a BS or equivalent educational achievement. MBA is a plus.

  • Requires a minimum of 7-10 years related professional and office experience including MS Office products.

  • Requires a minimum of 7-10 years experience working with or within the Real Estate and Mortgage industry.

  • Skills required include business acumen, strategic planning, organizational assessment, creativity, highly developed leadership and interpersonal skills, quantitative analytical abilities and outstanding communication skills.

  • The ability to work effectively within a cross functional organization.
