A highly influential communicator, you will have strong messaging and positioning skills and be able to manage stakeholders at every level.
The Director, Marketing is responsible for initiating and driving marketing strategies and plan development for US Insurance products and alliances, supporting and managing the Marketing Managers in the other key support functions. This position will manage and support all marketing activities including, but not limited to, lead generation activities (direct mail, advertising, email communications, events and webinars), content and sales tool development, and product and industry-specific marketing communications to internal and external stakeholders. This role will work with marketing leadership, the business unit, general manager/market planners, sales and functional areas to ensure that the marketing efforts for US products and alliances are on target/on brand and meet the needs of the organization from a lead generation, customer retention and thought leadership position.

Integrated Direct Marketing:
1.Lead Generation and Retention.
The direct marketing activities this role will focus on are lead generation and retention for US products and alliances. This position will work directly with the VP Marketing, appropriate GM or Market Planners, Sales and support functions to develop fully integrated marketing campaigns for their specific target audience(s) while aiming to optimize activities by leveraging ideas across multiple verticals and audiences.
- Events Management
Manage and create an annual events calendar that incorporates lead generation, thought leadership, and market development plans. This position will leverage the help of the Content Marketing/Events team as they will deliver an initial annual events proposal and manage all logistics and on-site facilitation. In addition, online events and webinar planning are a major component of this position including the strategic planning, execution, cost and analysis of these types of events.
- Sales Marketing Alignment
One of the main goals of this position is to be fully aligned with the Sales organization whether that is someone who helps set the go-to-market strategy, executes specific campaigns and programs, or acts as the liaison between the Marketing department and Sales organization.
- Budgetary Responsibility
Participate in the creation and management of the marketing budget. Assume budgetary responsibility for the assigned marketing activities. Create and drive marketing initiatives that will maximize sales and profitability. Work with Digital Marketing to track, analyze and report marketing results per initiative on a monthly and quarterly basis (depending on audience).
- Management Responsibility
This position may have at least one direct report. The development and management of direct reports is critical for success in this role. All other duties as assigned.
4-year College Degree (preferably in Marketing or Business) or equivalent in work experience. MBA preferred.
A minimum of 10 years in-depth, business-to-business and/or business-to-consumer consultation and strategy development. B2B marketing experience is required. Marketing experience in technology, data and analytics, financial services or insurance is a plus.
Ability to review marketing analysis to uncover underlying drivers, assess potential impact and design metrics.
Experience in leading projects in their entirety and in handling multi-projects with strong project management.
Experience in handling high-level vendor relationships.
Experience in using contact management systems, CRM and/or marketing databases and the know-how to leverage its functionality to maximize lead generation and up-sell/cross-sell opportunities.
P&L / Budgeting responsibility.
Extensive direct marketing product or service experience.
Experience with integrated lead generation, retention and incubation programs and processes.
Prior management experience.
