RELX Group Contract Manager in Alpharetta, Georgia

Job Description: Basic Job Function
Act as the leader of discussions with the top LN Business Services customers and in situations where there are complex Master Service Agreements. This individual will need to coordinate with all applicable cross functional teams to ensure that their interests and capabilities are properly represented and consistently implemented within these contracts, culminating with the close interaction with the legal team to draft the formal language for the agreements and negotiate the terms with the clients.
Act as the interface between Sales and Customers to serve as the primary point of contact managing contract negotiations with LN top Business Services customers and or with large complex Master Service Agreement negotiations.
Coordinate with the senior leaders of all necessary cross functional organizations to review applicable contract terms, collect or prepare appropriate language and gain the agreement of the cross functional leader responsible for that area of the business.
Coordinate with members of the LN legal team to ensure that all language is consistent with legal requirements and is approved by the legal team.
Draft proposed business terms for the purpose of discussing internally and presenting to the customer for negotiations.
Collect copies of the Master Agreements, schedules and amendments for repository.
Contribute to a repository of standard language that is approved by cross functional teams and the legal team to address common contracting requirements such as SLAs.
Contribute to continuous improvement of the contracting process.
Additional Roles and Responsibilities:
Contribute to building the document repository which will serve as the central location in which to store all LN Business Services.
Contribute to database of contract information for internal use and reference, to support tracking of terms and conditions of relevant contracts as required.
Draft statements of work for additional services, based on customer-specific templates agreed to in connection with an executed Master Service Agreement.
Serve as the central point of contact for key business stakeholders such as accounting, legal, sales and management staff for business questions related to customer contracts.
Contribute to a repository of the standard approved language for certain key contract terms such as SLAs, SLA penalties and other compliance related terms approved by cross functional teams and the legal team.
Support national sales business in various time zones as may be needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
BA or equivalent experience (Paralegal/Contracts drafting).
7+ years of contract experience managing contract negotiations with large organizations such as those in the Fortune 100.
